The Robocon Spirit Heats Up Day by Day at Hanoi University of Mining and Geology

With a focus on practical, experiential  education and nurturing creative passion among students, Hanoi University of Mining and Geology has built a modern and dynamic learning environment, where ideas in science and engineering are sown and cultivated.

As one of Vietnam’s multidisciplinary institutions, especially strong in science and technology, the university is currently abuzz  with excitement as preparations for the 2025 Robocon season  intensify. Both faculty  and students are working tirelessly in anticipation of the competition.

Inside the Robocon team’s technical room, robot designs and accessories are gradually coming to life.  Every component, from gripping mechanisms to control systems, is meticulously calculated. The students combine simulation software, programming, and hands-on experience to optimize each part of the robot.

Practice sessions are when theories are put to the test. Whether the robot is running, stopping, or responding to scenarios, everything is controlled with precision through each line of code. As the competition nears, even the smallest details require thorough review.

More than just a competition, Robocon is a journey where passion turns into action, and knowledge transforms into innovation. While contests come with results, the quest for knowledge and creative passion never ends. With determination, support from the university, and the desire to achieve more , these students are not only carving out their place at Robocon, but also shaping the future of Vietnam’s engineering landscape.
