To help visitors to know more about the land and its people, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (Nguyen Van Huyen, Cau Giay, Hanoi) will organize the Mid-autumn event 2017 with the theme of: “The Colors of Dong Thap Province” on September 30-October 1.
This is the occasion for the folk artists and performers from the “heart of the Mekong Delta” to introduce their culture through their “điệu hò” (chanties), local textile weaving techniques, and culinary skills.
The essential activities of the mid-autumn festival – lion dance, playing folk games, making traditional toys, mooncakes and cốm Vòng (Vietnamese green rice flakes from the famous Vòng village) – will be the main attraction of the event.
A combination of northern and southern cultures, these activities will offer participants great opportunities to discover the Vietnamese mid-autumn festival.
Entrance fee: Adult - VND40,000/person, student (university level) - VND20,000/person, student (below university level) - VND10,000 VND/person, and free admission for children under 6 years old.
