Thanh Xuan Underpass inaugurated in Hanoi

This major transportation infrastructure project is expected to ease traffic congestion for nearby roads. Part of the Khuat Duy Tien - Nguyen Trai - Nguyen Xien T-junction, Thanh Xuan Underpass has been built to divide vehicles from Nguyen Trai Road to the T-junction.

Each side has two lanes, and each lane is 3.5 meters wide. Bikers and pedestrians will be prohibited from entering these tunnels. The project is targeted at tackling congestion for people entering Hanoi from the West. Currently, Hanoi is home to nearly 8 million people, not including those not registered for temporary residence.
