The Olympic Run Day for Public Health aimed to further step up the country’s sports and physical training movements in this new period, and meet the requirements of improving the people’s health and fitness as well as the stature of the Vietnamese people, contributing to enhancing the quality of human resources, building a healthy lifestyle, and consolidating the great national unity bloc.

Other runs were also held in the northern provinces of Quang Ninh and Nam, and the central province of Thua Thien Hue, in response to the Olympic Run Day for Public Health.
The Tien Phong National Marathon Championship 2022 wrapped up in Con Dao on March 27, in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
The gold medals in the men’s marathon and women’s marathon went to Hoang Nguyen Thanh and Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa, both from Binh Phuoc Province. The Military team’s Do Quoc Luat came first in the men's 10km event, after 31 minutes and 28 seconds.
This year’s marathon event attracted the participation of more than 3,700 athletes, including 3,500 amateurs and 200 professionals. Runners competed in four distances including 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km.
