The Tan Cang Long Binh Inland Container Depot
VTV.vn - Saigon Newport Corporation held a ceremony on March 29 to begin the operation of Tan Cang Long Binh Inland Container Depot in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, after three months of expansion work.

The inland container depot is located in the port and logistics ecosystem of Saigon Newport and features an area of 24.8ha in its first phase of expansion.

The Tan Cang Long Binh Inland Container Depot has the largest warehouse system in Vietnam, with 40 warehouses on an area of more than 500,000 m2 as well as a 150,000 m2 yard.

According to Saigon Newport Corporation, Tan Cang Long Binh depot has the advantages of geographical location and transportation system such as being located at the gateway to the Southern region, on the road system connecting with large seaports such as Tan Cang-Cat Lai Port and deep-water ports in the Cai Mep area, as well as connecting with provinces in the Southeast and the South Central Highlands. Thus, the depot boasts huge potential for promoting logistics services and importing and exporting goods between neighbouring provinces.

Captain Phan Anh Tuan, Director of Tan Cang Long Binh depot said that with its role in the supply chain, the inland depot will help to increase the capacity of cargo clearance as well as the capacity to receive and release goods, especially by supporting distribution activities in the supply chain.

Dong Nai Province has a total import and export revenue of over 40 billion USD, accounting for nearly 7% of Vietnam’s total import and export revenue.
