Tackling agro-export delays at border gates

Regarding agro-export delays at northern border gates, the Foreign Trade Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been working with the Chinese side over the past week to speed up processing and prolong clearance time to 9.30 pm instead of 5 pm.

The agency advised businesses to closely follow shipments of their produce, especially dragon fruits, to northern provinces to have active plans for production and packing.

Businesses should reduce or ease shipments to Tan Thanh border gate (Lang Son province) and Kim Thanh border gate (Lao Cai province) to avoid congestion and ensure product quality.
