Support needed for green buildings in Vietnam

The number of LEED-certified green projects in the United States was estimated at over 65,000 in 2017. Asia has also been making the switch to more environmentally-friendly buildings, as in the case of Singapore, with a penetration rate of 30%. In Vietnam, however, there are only 60 certified green buildings as of the end of April. 

A conference on green industrial constructions in Vietnam will be held in December by the Vietnam Green Building Council. Further efforts to develop green buildings will continue to be made by the Vietnam Real Estate Association, Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association, Vietnam Association of Architects and other environmental associations in Vietnam.
