Successful operation saves newborn baby with congenital heart disease

This is the lightest child patient that has ever gone through a heart operation in Vietnam.

The child patient was born weighing 1kg when she was only 30 weeks old. Thirteen days after being born, the child was diagnosed with heart disease. When she was moved to the City Children's Hospital No.1, she had serious pneumonia and septicaemia.

The operation began 37 days after the patient was born. So far, the patient's health has improved and she can return home in a week.
