Strengthened defence partnership with Russia

The 2-day visit aims to consolidate the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and enhance bilateral defence co-operation.

These are also parts of the agreements signed between the two sides on co-operation in UN peacekeeping activities and co-ordination in the framework of the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting Plus.
