State president receives outgoing Belarusian ambassador

Ambassador Valery Sadokho praised relations between Vietnam and Belarus and highlighted visits including by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s to Belarus in 2014, and Belarus PresidentLukashenko’s visit to Vietnam in 2015.

Efforts to simplify visa procedures and exemptions helped boost Belrus visitors to Vietnam one and a half times. He added that in the near future, with the implementation of the Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade agreement, along with the establishment of two Belarus auto assembly firms in Vietnam, that two-way trade and expanding investment co-operation would be increased.

State President Tran Dai Quang praised the development of bilateral ties and their co-ordination at international forums, particularly the United Nations.
