State President meets German parliamentarians

The state president spoke highly the support of the group had offered in promoting co-operation between Germany and ASEAN, and between Germany and Vietnam. He also proposed German Bundestag support Vietnam to boost collaboration with EU and to conclude EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement. He hoped that the group would continue to help Vietnam promote ratification of Partnership and Co-operation Agreement and recognition of Vietnam as a market economy.

The German ASEAN Parliamentary Friendship Group hoped to boost ties with ASEAN. They said that they would help Vietnam boost the signing of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement. The group also said that they would accelerate the progress of supporting 500 million Euros for the second subway project in Ho Chi Minh City as well as to establish a German House in Vietnam.
