State President holds talks with Tanzanian President
VTV.vn - President Truong Tan Sang began a state visit to Tanzania on Wednesday at the invitation of President John Magufuli.

The two presidents discussed measures to boost links and address global issues of mutual concern. President Sang said Vietnam wanted to expand co-operation in Africa, including Tanzania. President Sang said Vietnam was ready to act as a bridge for Tanzania’s goods to enter ASEAN and Vietnam’s FTA trade partners. He said he hoped Tanzania would ease access of Vietnamese goods and help them enter other markets in East and South Africa towards achieving 1 billion USD in two-way trade by 2020. Tanzanian President John Magufuli expressed his hope that Vietnam would invest more in Tanzania and share its experience and technology in rice cultivation, aquaculture, garments and textiles and footwear, which Tanzania already had great input sources available. The two sides defined agriculture and telecommunication as major sectors for bilateral co-operation. They agreed to accelerate the signing of a double taxation agreement and investment promotion and protection agreement.
