\Decree 81 issued a year ago on publishing the information of state enterprises is intended to bolster public oversight and business efficiency. However, many state enterprises have yet to go public with their business reports.

Publicity and transparency is vital for Vietnamese businesses in a period of increasing global integration. Their information contributes to not only the fight against corruption, but also the restructuring of state enterprises and an improved stock market.
