VTV.vn - Cambodia’s postal service has issued a set of stamps with five designs to mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia (June 24, 1967-2022).

The first design features the rumduol, the Cambodian national flower, and the Vietnamese lotus, which are combined with the national flags of the two countries to form the number 55, which represents the years of bilateral ties.

The second stamp depicts the Hanoi-Phnom Penh Friendship Avenue in Phnom Penh, the construction of which was funded by Vietnam.

The remaining designs feature a border market, the Friendship Monument, and the Cambodian National Assembly Building, which are all symbols of the friendship and mutual assistance between the two countries.

The stamps are designed by the Vietnamese Cambodian designer Nguyen Thanh Chau, who is currently an official of the Khmer-Vietnam Society in Kandal Province.

Chau said he is happy that the Cambodian and Vietnamese authorities have agreed to issue his stamp designs on the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang spoke highly of the designer’s effort in depicting a number of outcomes of the bilateral cooperation relations in the recent times.
