Singapore defence ties boosted

At a reception for the Vietnamese delegation on Monday, Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong urged the two defence ministries to tighten links. He said the Singaporean government and the prime minister himself would support and create favourable condition to promote bilateral defence co-operation. Minister Ngo Xuan Lich said Vietnam treasured and prioritised the development of co-operation with Singapore. Before the meeting, General Ngo Xuan Lich and his Singaporean counterpart Ng Eng Hen held talks, during which they agreed to work harder to strengthen links.
