Severe flooding in Quang Nam province

Over 17,000 houses were flooded, and 2,000 households had to be relocated and have not been able to return. National highway 1A through Quang Nam province is currently still blocked at Thăng Bình Commune and Tam Kỳ City. Police forces of Quang Nam have instructed vehicles to avoid flooded areas.

Heavy rains over the past few days have also wiped out hundreds of hectares winter flower crops in Duy Xuyên, Thăng Bình, and Núi Thành communes. It was reported that one person in Thăng Bình District was swept away.
