Mai, a Politburo member, praised the efforts of Hoa Binh in 2021 and urged the province to step up measures in 2022 to realise the unfulfilled socio-economic targets.
She asked Hoa Binh to pay attention to the training of young cadres and building a dynamic and accountable apparatus in which the selection of competent personnel is a key task.
On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year, Mai extended her best wishes to the Party organisation and people of Hoa Binh, with expectation that they will record new achievements in the new year.
Earlier, Mai and her delegation visited and presented 200 gifts to families of wounded and fallen soldiers, village heads, teachers, medical workers, disadvantaged students and poor households in the province.
* On the same day, Head of the Central Commission for Mass Mobilisation Bui Thi Minh Hoai presented Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor people, members of ethnic minority groups, and workers in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong.
* In the southern province of Tay Ninh, the provincial delegation of National Assembly deputies presented gifts of Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to ten border guard checkpoints in the districts of Tan Bien, Chau Thanh and Ben Cau.
The delegation also presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, families of wounded and fallen soldiers, revolutionary contributors, people affected by Agent Orange, and former youth volunteers.
