SCTV Showcases Smart Broadcasting Technology at the 2024 Local Information Day

A festival for grassroots information workers  at all levels across the country

Grassroots information is a form of communication  that differs from journalism  in that   it is closer to the people. It is a force that generates strength through flexibility and adaptability in any situation. The power of grassroots information lies in its ability to reach every individual, every household, through various methods of communication, making it fundamentally different from other forms of media.

With the advantage of being close to the people, grassroots information workers have leveraged strengths that no other media channel can match, providing practical benefits to the public, particularly in rural, mountainous, remote, border, and island areas, reaching approximately 70 to 80 million people.

The National Conference to Commend and Honor Outstanding Individuals in Grassroots Information Activities for 2024 was held for the first time in Hanoi, turning into a festival for grassroots information workers from all levels across the country.

The conference was organized to promptly recognize and honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in grassroots information activities, to encourage and provide a forum for grassroots information workers to network, exchange creative ideas, and share best practices.

At the conference, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung highly praised the dedication and efforts of grassroots information workers. Despite having to juggle multiple responsibilities and working with limited remuneration, they have always  excelled in their tasks with enthusiasm and passion, overcoming challenges and hardships.

2024 is also the first year that the MIC organized this conference to recognize and honor national exemplary collectives and individuals in grassroots information activities, to acknowledge their contributions, provide   timely encouragement, and spread  best practices among patriotic movements  in the field of information and communications sector.

The 120 exemplary collectives and individuals are shining examples representing hundreds of thousands of grassroots information workers from across the regions of the country. Whether collective or individual, of different ages and occupations, these role models all exemplify patriotism, responsibility, and dedication to their work, embodying the will, determination, and desire to contribute to the community and the nation.

At the event, SCTV showcased its Smart Broadcasting Product, including the Radio Transmitter Cluster and Automatic Integration System.

At this conference, only five exemplary units were selected to organize and display booths to exhibit  their services at the Ministry of Information and Communications. SCTV—one of the leading television providers in Vietnam—asserted its position with an impressive booth.

SCTV not only showcased its traditional cable television services but also introduced digital television solutions such as IPTV, OTT, along with Internet services and other value-added services. SCTV’s booth attracted the attention of delegates from 64 provinces and cities and became  a highlight of the event.

Notably, SCTV presented two  outstanding smart broadcasting products: the Radio Transmitter Cluster and the Automatic Integration System. These products are designed with advanced technology, easy to deploy and operate, optimizing management and technical support processes for user units.

SCTV’s Radio Transmitter Cluster is designed in a modular format, compatible with popular operating systems like Linux and Android. The device can be connected via multiple methods such as LAN, Wi-Fi, SIM, and eSIM, catering to the diverse needs of user units. The smart management system, integrated with IoT, enables close monitoring of factors such as temperature, 4G signal, speaker sound, and technical parameter alerts.

SCTV’s Automatic Integration System supports FM rebroadcast,  microphone or IP  broadcast, and has the capability to digitize audio signals. The device also includes a timer to control electrical equipment, fully meeting safety and efficiency standards.

In addition, SCTV also provides green energy solutions like solar power, which is seamlessly integrated into the broadcast  system, offering flexibility and energy savings for user units. SCTV maintains full control over technology, hardware, and smart device software. Most importantly, all SCTV products ensure information security and have been certified by the relevant authorities.

The 2024 Local Information Day also provided SCTV with the opportunity to showcase its smart broadcasting technology to grassroots information agencies, fostering connections  and collaborations, and contributing to the mission of grassroots information workers across the country.
