VTV.vn - The restructuring of public preschools, general education, continuing education and vocational institutions is under way nationwide. In Hà Nội, several schools have already completed mergers and are welcoming new students, creating a positive start to a school year marked by major changes.

Humanoid robots and dog-shaped robots were placed at the school entrance to welcome incoming sixth-graders at Giảng Võ Secondary School.

Formed from the merger of three secondary schools, the school now has around 5,600 students. The welcome ceremony for all sixth-graders marks the start of a larger, more unified school community.

Pham Phuong Anh, Class 6A5, Giang Vo Secondary School, Giang Vo Ward, Hanoi said: "I was really excited to see the humanoid robots and animal-shaped robots. I’m looking forward to a fun and exciting new school year."

"After the merger, the school has around 5,600 students in 124 classes. Our priority is to maintain the strong educational quality of the main campus, while gradually narrowing differences between campuses and ensuring more consistent standards", said Mrs To Thi Hai Yen, Principal, Giang Vo Secondary School, Giang Vo Ward, Hanoi

School mergers are continuing nationwide, with 23 of 34 provinces and cities already cutting administrative units by at least 45 percent. The restructuring is expected to be completed before the new school year.
