Rural communities to overcome poverty

Such are the targets set for agricultural development between 2016 and 2020 at the Central Steering Committee's Conference on Accomplishing National Target programs on Tuesday Jan 10th.

The Deputy PM said current rate of 30% communes classified as new rural model is considerably low. Moreover, households classified as poor still make up 8.5% of the population. Among these, poor households constitute 32% of the North Western Mountainous Region.
