Week 4 of Month 3, Quarter II of Road to Olympia Mount 2026 saw an intense competition among four contestants: Ly Thai Duong from Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted in Phu Tho; Nguyen Ngoc Sang from Son La High School for the Gifted; Duong Tuan Kiet from Tien Lang High School in Hai Phong; and Tran Cong Dung from Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted.

The opening Warm-up round brought immediate excitement to the studio. In the individual turns, Tuan Kiet went first and scored 30 points. Tran Cong Dung followed with an impressive performance, answering correctly to earn 40 points. Ngoc Sang got off to a steady start, answering three questions correctly to reach 30 points, while Thai Duong got only two questions right, earning him 20 points.
In the General Warm-up round, the rankings began to shift. By the end of the round, Cong Dung was in the lead with 70 points. Ngoc Sang had 45 points, Tuan Kiet remained on 30, and Thai Duong dropped to 10, placing last.
With confidence and clear reasoning, Thai Duong successfully solves the obstacle with the answer “fiber optics”.
In the Overcome Obstacle round, the eight-letter vertical keyword was quickly revealed. After the first horizontal question, none of the contestants scored. In the second, the correct answer was “light”. By the end of the round, Thai Duong moved up to third place with 60 points. Cong Dung maintained the lead with 90 points, while Ngoc Sang ranked second with 65 points, and Tuan Kiet was in fourth place with 40 points.

The Speed-Up round saw a significant rise in scores. Thai Duong continued his strong performance, reaching 170 points and taking the lead. Ngoc Sang followed closely behind with 155 points. Cong Dung dropped to third with 140 points, while Tuan Kiet had 50.

After three intense rounds, the contestants moved into the Finish round, determined to win. The lead changed hands several times. Thai Duong chose the 20-30-20 question set and answered one question correctly. Cong Dung gave one wrong and one correct answer, taking 20 points from Thai Duong. By the end of his turn, Thai Duong had 180 points.
