Rice support for the poor during Tet

Ky Sơn is one of the poorest districts in the country with over 60% of households in poverty. In the next few days, more than 27 thousand residents of the district will receive more than 400 tonnes of rice to support from the Government.

According to the General Department of State Reserves, the Prime Minister has decided to give out 14 thousand tonnes of rice from the national reserve to nearly 1 million people living in poverty in 16 provinces.

This decision is to ensure that no poor person will go hungry during the Tet holiday and the first months of 2017.
