Reporting obligations under international conventions on human rights
VTV.vn - On Tuesday, a conference kicked off, which focuses on the implementation of reporting obligations under the international convention on human rights, to which Vietnam is a state party.

The event has been co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam. Speaking at the opening session, Vu Quang Minh - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke of the importance of drafting and constructing a complete and timely national report on human rights implementation.

He also noted the challenges in reporting obligations due to changes and expansion of Vietnam's participation in international conventions. Caitlin Wiesen, UNDP Vietnam's Country director praised the efforts of Vietnam in carrying out responsibilities within international conventions, to which Vietnam is a signatory. She further emphasized the continuation of support from the UNDP and other international organizations in supporting Vietnam in reporting obligations.
