Regional media analyzes Inter-Korean Summit

The Korean press made a positive response to the summit but still stayed cautious about the results. Some newspapers wrote that the summit was only the start and the two Koreas would need to make more efforts to achieve better results.

The Korea Times said that the inter-Korean summit left a historic mark but South Korea should not expect complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. Japan's Asahi newspaper wrote that the international community needs to put more pressure on North Korea while Kyodo media focused on the conditions of kidnapped Japanese in North Korea.
