Reference exchange rate down 7 VND on Sept. 5

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,433 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,011 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates decreased.

At 8:21 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,690 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,030 VND/USD, both down 20 VND from September 4.

BIDV also cut both rates by 10 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,690 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,030 VND/USD.
