'Red Sunday' campaign launched in Hanoi
VTV.vn - The Blood Donation Festival, titled "Red Sunday", was held in Hanoi by the Tien Phong newspaper, the National Committee for Traffic Safety, and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

Deputy Prime Minister Trương Hòa Bình attended the event. In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister applauded the campaign for its widespread influence on the public and its contributions to national blood donation movements.

This year, the festival is being held in 40 provinces and cities all over Vietnam with 80 voluntary blood donation sites. The blood collected during "Red Sunday" will help treat patients during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday. The blood donation site at Hanoi University of Science and Technology alone received more than 1200 units of blood on Sunday.
