Proud Melodies returns with a musical journey spanning over 80 years of history. Through familiar and moving melodies, it portrays the Vietnam People’s Army - “born from the people and fighting for the people”- creating an emotional and artistic space.
The theme, “The Soldier’s Song Lives On”, pays tribute to those who devoted their youth to the nation. It is also a song of pride dedicated to today’s generation of soldiers, who continue the legacy of building a modern, disciplined, and humane army that is always ready to serve the people.
A highlight of the program is the performance “Orders from the Heart”, staged on a cinematic scale. This powerful musical epic features actors Le Hoang Long (as Sen), Phuong Nam (as Ta), and Colonel - Meritorious Artist , and Director Dang Thai Huyen from the film “Red Rain”, forming a powerful musical epic that honors heroic history while conveying ideals, courage, and the “orders from the heart” passed down through generations of soldiers.

The moment that truly touched the audience’s hearts was the emotional exchange with representatives of the forces participating in the A80 military parade. From the formation of command ships and combat vessels, marking the first parade ever conducted at sea, to formation flights carving their marks across the sky, each story revealed that the “spectacular moments” were the result of rigorous training, iron discipline, and deep pride in representing the image of today’s soldier: steadfast, responsible, and full of passion.

Beyond honoring military strength, the program offers deeply humane perspectives, from the close bonds between the military and civilians in border areas to Vietnam’s growing role in international peacekeeping missions. These heartfelt stories paint a multifaceted image of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” - warm, sincere, and compassionate.
The musical flow takes audiences on a journey from heroic classics such as “Uncle Ho Marches with Us” (Huy Thuc) and “Where Are You Tonight” (Phan Huynh Dieu) to the modern anthem “The Fatherland Calls My Name” (music by Dinh Trung Can, poetry by Phan Que Mai). Fresh arrangements, emotionally rich stage design, and performances by OPlus, People’s Artist Quang Tho, and People’s Artist Hong Hanh blend tradition with modernity.
