VTV.vn - A programme entitled ‘Vietnamese Days in Russia’ opened at the Hanoi-Moscow multifunctional complex in Moscow, Russia, on October 12.

The event is jointly held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnamese Business Association in Russia, and Incentra Company.

In his opening speech, Vietnam's Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien affirmed that the Vietnam- Russia cooperation has reaped many proud achievements over the past more than 70 years.

The organisation of the ‘Vietnamese Days in Russia’ will contribute to connecting the business community and strengthening bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation, he said.

He called on businesses of the two countries to continue practically and effectively implementing the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in order to take better advantage of the opportunities brought about by the agreement.

The two sides also need to actively figure out new directions of cooperation in developing renewable energy and green energy, he added.

For his part, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladimir Ilichev affirmed that the Russia-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership is an example of a trusting and sustainable relationship.

He hailed that Vietnam's economy is still on a strong growth track, helping the country established as an attractive destination for foreign investors.

Running until October 15, the programme features arts performances, a Vietnam-Russia business forum, and a trade fair gathering about 50 Vietnamese firms, introducing Vietnamese goods on high demand in Russia such as garment and textile, apparel, agricultural, interior, and mechanical products.
