Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Record Association and General Director of Vietnam Records Organisation (Vietkings) Le Tran Truong An said that this is the biggest event ever to mark Vietnamese Family Day.
The event is expected to feature the participation of 40,000 people, and 170 restaurants, and take place over ten days (from August 19 to 28, 2023 in 20 provinces and cities nationwide).
The programme will also mobilise restaurants to launch the program this week, which is expected to reach 11,900 families.
The activities between generations of families will be recorded with pictures, and clips and conveyed through information on the Vietnam Digital Map.
This activity aims to set Vietnamese records, as well as Asian and World records for the number of people participating in response to Family Day, through the photo-check-in activity in a digital platform.
The main activity of the event will take place in Ho Chi Minh City on June 28. This is a great party with 1,000 guests who are record-holders and families with many contributions to society.
In addition, the programme will also feature many activities imbued with Southeast Asian culture such as experiencing folk games, enjoying many cultural and artistic performances, and enjoying six special dishes created for exclusively for the party.
Vietnam Family Day-June 28 is considered as an opportunity to raise awareness among generations, especially young people, about the sacredness of family affection.
