Prime Minister praises Vietnam-Laos banking cooperation

The two sides reviewed their collaboration in 2018 and agreed on a cooperative plan for 2019 that will focus on raising two-way trade by at least 10 percent compared with the previous year.

PM Phuc affirmed that Vietnam stands ready to assist the Lao Government with regards to economic stabilization and development.

Sonexay Sitphaxay said that he was glad to have attended the SBV's conference to put forth tasks for 2019 and said that through the event, Laos was able to learn from the Vietnamese central bank's management experience. He hopes for more cooperation, support, and experience sharing from Vietnam in the fields of finance and banking.
