Prime Minister begins official visit to Norway

VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc left the Russian Federation and arrived in Oslo on late May 23rd (local time), starting his official trip to the country at the invitation of his Norwegian counterpart Erna Solberg.

This is the first official visit by a Vietnamese Prime Minister to Norway since the visit of late Prime Minister Phan Văn Khải in 1999. Earlier, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc met his Norwegian counterpart Erna Solberg on the sidelines of the expanded G7 Summit in Canada in 2018, and the ASEM Summit in Belgium last October. This time, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc will also attend the Vietnam Norway business forum, and meet with Harald V King of Norway.

By the end of last year, bilateral trade turnover between the two countries exceeded 360 million US dollars, and there are sixty Norwegian enterprises opearing in Vietnam with a total investment of nearly 170 million US dollars.
