Prime Minister attends 21st ASEAN+3 Summit

At the event, the leaders continued to support the role and contributions of ASEAN 3 with regards to peace, security, and prosperity in the region. They stressed that this is one of the most effective collaborations of ASEAN. The ASEAN 3 leaders also praised the outcomes of the Inter-Korea and US-DPRK Summits and lauded the efforts that went towards the complete denuclearisation on the Korean Peninsula as well as the implementation of the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Regarding the regional and global situation, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc commended the positive developments on the Korean Peninsula but also noted potential risks such as trade conflicts, protectionism, environmental pollution, and natural disasters.
