VTV.vn - Child care and protection have always been the top priorities of the Vietnamese government.

However, in areas inhabited by ethnic groups where there are still many economic obstacles, it's not easy to prioritize the development of children. With the support of NGOs and the local authorities' efforts, many training and comprehensive child development programs have been effectively implemented over the past years.

It's been six years since the Children Comprehensive Development Project was implemented in Gia Lai. It's educated more than 90% of parents about the positive methods of raising children and has built 18 preschools. The enrollment rate of students from ethnic groups also has increased from 65% to 98%. These programs are being replicated throughout the province and several other provinces with similar conditions.
