Population database management improved

The conference reviewed last year’s work and laid out plans for 2016. Attending the conference, Deputy Prime Minister, Steering Committee head Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, asked the Ministry of Public Security to accelerate the formation of national database as soon as possible.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted major targets and their significance, claiming the database would help facilitate administrative procedures, population management and identity issues for individuals. He also spoke highly of the achievements in the past year, especially in terms of social security. Some 147 million USD has been set aside by the government for the project.
