Pompeo starts Asia trip

The visit was made in the context of the two countries discussing the process of holding a second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Speaking before the trip, Pompeo stressed that the United States and North Korea need to build trust in order to take the necessary steps to reach final decision. During this trip to Asia, US Secretary of State Pompeo will also visit Japan and China.
