Politburo member Truong Thi Mai presents gifts to storm-hit residents in Thua Thien Hue

The Party official lauded the efforts of the provincial authorities to deal with the consequences of flooding and promptly provide food and other essential items to flood-hit residents, as well as the efforts to rescue the missing construction workers at the Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant.

She also asked the local authorities and people to outline rational response plans to mitigate losses of life and property since the storm season is still ongoing in the central region.

She also expressed her hope that the local authorities will continue in the efforts to help flood-hit people stabilise their lives and production soon.

On the occasion, Politburo member Mai presented gifts to 100 local families who were hardest hit by recent floods.
