VTV.vn - During the month of August, VTV offers the audience special series of reports and documentaries on attractive historical characters and stories.

The Road of the Age

Composed of 4 episodes, The Road of the Age, made by the Ethnic Languages Television Department, brought the audience back to the vibrant atmosphere of the August Revolution and the joy of waiting for the first National Day - 1945. Dealing with a difficult theme, the production team has to dig in a lot of historical data and used a lot of graphics.

One of the highlights of the The Road of the Age series is the story behind the documentary filmed in Ba Dinh Square. By watching the film, the audience will get the answer to the question "Who is the author of the images that are considered unique in that historical moment?"

Four episodes of The Road of the Age will air at 22:30 on August 19, 24, 25 and 26 on VTV1.

The Children of Where the Revolution Originates

The Children of Where the Revolution Originates is a documentary made by the Center for Documentaries and Reports. The film is a vivid historical story about Cao Bang's loyal sons, such as Hoang Dinh Giong, an elite communist who founded the first Communist Party cell in Cao Bang; or key cadres of the Cao Bang Viet Minh movement of the next generation such as: Dam Ly, Hoang Sieu Hai, Doan Hong Ky, Dam Quang Trung.

The film tells a simple story, dealing with the dedication of the Cao Bang children to the cause of the struggle for national liberation. Through the narration of witnesses and historical data, the film helps viewers to better understand the long revolutionary tradition of Cao Bang, which is considered the origin of the Vietnam revolution.

The film airs at 22:30 on Friday, August 12 on VTV1.

Twentieth Century Heroes

The program honors extraordinary people who have performed glorious feats in two wars of resistance such as the heroes La Van Cau, Khuat Duy Tien, Nguyen Viet Sinh, Pham Thi Thao, Pham Tuan, Le Thi Thu Nguyet. The programs Twentieth Century Heroes helps the audience to understand and appreciate more the sacrifices of the previous generation for today's peace. With short narration, the producers let characters tell their own stories while focusing on graphics and making efforts to find new historical material.

The Heroes of the Twentieth Century air at 6:30 p.m. every day on VTV1, starting August 19.
