VTV.vn - A conference will be held on June 18th to implement the Government's Resolution 120 on Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Development of the Mekong Delta.

The conference is expected to identify existing issues, as well as priorities for sustainable development and climate change adaptation. A controversial question remains: should anti-climate-change architecture be built or we just let this region develop in a natural way?

At the end of December, 2018, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development officially signed a decision approving the investment for constructing Cai Lon-Cai Be irrigation system in Kien Giang Province. It is necessary to construct anti-climate change architecture to secure the sustainable development of Mekong Delta region, as preferring natural development does not mean doing nothing to adapt to climate change.
