VTV.vn - In the North, although fog persists and temperatures remain cold at night and in the morning, the sun comes out by midday, and temperatures rise slightly, reaching a high of 29 degrees Celsius in some areas.


According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, on March 18th, the weather across the country showed a clear differentiation between regions, notably fog in the early morning in the North and increased sunshine in the South.

In Northern Vietnam, the weather will generally be rainy in some areas, with scattered fog and light mist in the early morning, reducing local visibility. The sun will come out in the afternoon, and temperatures will rise slightly, but it will remain cold at night and in the early morning.

Specifically, in the Northwest region, it will be sunny during the day with scattered rain at night. The lowest temperature will be 19-22°C, with some areas below 16°C; the highest temperature will be 25-28°C, with some areas above 29°C. In the Northeast region, it will be cloudy with scattered rain, fog in the early morning, and clearing up with sunshine in the afternoon. The lowest temperature will be 19-22°C, with some mountainous areas below 18°C; the highest temperature will be 24-27°C.

From Thanh Hoa to Hue, the weather will be cloudy, with fog in the early morning, sunny during the day, and scattered rain at night; the lowest temperature will be 19-22 degrees Celsius, and the highest will be 26-29 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 29 degrees Celsius.

In the South Central Coastal region, it will be sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms at night; the lowest temperature will be 21-24 degrees Celsius, and the highest will be 28-31 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 31 degrees Celsius.

In the Central Highlands, it will be sunny during the day, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night; the lowest temperature will be 16-19 degrees Celsius, with some areas below 15 degrees Celsius; the highest temperature will be 28-31 degrees Celsius, with some areas above 31 degrees Celsius. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Southern Vietnam will have sunny weather, with some areas in the East experiencing hot conditions; scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the late afternoon and evening; the lowest temperature will be 23-26°C, and the highest 31-34°C, with some areas in the East exceeding 35°C.

The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind, affecting production and daily life. People are advised to closely monitor weather forecasts to take proactive measures to prevent damage.
