Northern Delta, Central region to experience large-scale heatwave

On Thursday morning, the heatwave extended to Son La, Hoa Binh, the Northern Delta, and the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen provinces.

High temperatures are forecast to range between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, with temperatures in some places from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen mountainous areas expected to reach 38 degrees.

The lowest humidity of the day will range between 50-65%, with an average temperature of around 35 degrees Celsius, and lasting up to 17 hours. With this weather, there is a high risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to increased electricity demand and heightened risk of forest fires in the North and Central region.
