North experiences severe air pollution
VTV.vn - The air quality in Hanoi and the northern region has hovered at unhealthy levels for the past 2 consecutive days.

Such levels threaten the health of children, the elderly, and individuals with heart or lung problems, and they are advised to stay indoors.

Meanwhile, independent air quality analysis system PamAir also recorded pollution in other localities in the northern and northern central regions of Vietnam, such as Thai Nguyen, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hai Duong, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, and Ha Tinh provinces as reaching levels of 100-150.

Experts forecast that high pollution levels will continue to affect northern and northern central localities until January 17 when another cold spell is expected to hit.

The Ministry of Health has advised people to refrain from going outdoors for exercise in the early morning and at night to avoid air pollution. People should also avoid opening doors and windows during this time. Masks should be used when going out.
