New strategy for coastal resource management to be implemented

Officially released by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the strategy is to be implemented until 2020 with a vision towards 2030. Its target is to improve the resistance of Vietnam’s marine ecosystems to climate change while maintaining their productivity. Six measures have been identified to effectively implement the new strategy, including: raising public awareness of the sustainable use of marine resources; consistent management of marine resources and the environment by relevant institutions; and training human resources to better manage the nation's marine resources and environment.
