Produced by Vietnam Television in collaboration with the Propaganda Department of the General Political Department and the General Staff, 7 Green Notes is part of a media campaign to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army.
This program provides a musical space where military families—who sacrifice personal time to serve—can bond and create cherished memories. It celebrates the spirit and pride of military families in supporting service members who serve the nation with the reassurance of a strong home front. 7 Green Notes aims to create memorable moments for participants, help them strengthen their connections and boost the morale of service men.
Additionally, the program offers an opportunity for both participants and viewers to explore revolutionary songs, drawing the audience into the history of the Vietnam People’s Army, and fostering pride and trust in the “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”.
A cash prize of 80 million VND will be awarded to four military families who excel in answering questions on revolutionary music. Each episode features two rounds, with two teams answering seven questions in each round. Before answering the questions, the teams must complete a 45-meter obstacle course. The fastest team to ring the bell earns the right to answer and win the corresponding prize.
Physical challenges are incorporated alongside music quizzes to addexcitement as family members alternate between singing, answering, and completing obstacles. Each team has four members, including at least one soldier.
Questions range from identifying songwriters to filling in missing lyrics to guessing song titles. Each episode centers on a theme, allowing players and viewers to explore the origins and melodies of songs related to the August Revolution, the Anti-French Resistance, Dien Bien Phu, and themes such as Homeland, Sea and Islands, Uncle Ho, and Military-Civilian Solidarity. The music, performed by bands, participants, guests, and singers, resonates with national pride and patriotism.
Renowned artists such as Dang Duong, Trong Tan, Viet Hoan, Dong Hung, Hai Yen, Thu Thuy – Minh Quan, Ta Quang Thang, and the band Dong Thoi Gian will grace the show. 7 Green Notes airs at 8:30 p.m. every Monday on VTV3, beginning on November 4, 2024.
