New decree cuts conditions for rice exporters

VTV.vn - The government has officially abandoned Decree 109, issued in 2010, requiring rice exporters to have a storage capacity of at least 5,000 tonnes and a rice milling facility that can process at least 10 tonnes per hour.

This has been replaced by Decree 107. Rice exporters can hire the required machines, but certified rice exporters are not allowed to lend storage and milling facilities. Exporters of organic rice and extra-nutritional rice do not need a certificate to export their products.
