New color of "Instead of Gratitude" in 2022

Carefully crafted, bringing impressive and emotional stories, the annual Instead of Gratitude program of the Department of Science and Education Programs, Vietnam Television, has become a highlight of VTV.

This year, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teacher's Day on November 20, the production crew of Instead of Gratitude was inspired by a poem by teacher Le Kieu Oanh, principal of Thanh Nua High School, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, which read: " The craft of cultivating the Phuc tree. Rooting in the Tran garden. The seeds of Life sprouting Loc. The word Heart forever shines".

With the theme "Tree of a Hundred Years", through images and stories of inspiring, moving and admirable teaching methods of teachers dedicated to their beloved students, the program is like a thank you to generations of teachers.

The program's production team wanted to tell the teachers' stories from many different angles, all of them have contributed to the cause of cultivating people in Vietnam.

SHINING COLORS...

This year's gratitude will be a colorful image, where each color is a story about teachers in different regions, overall, it is brightly colored, spreading positive messages and inspiration.

On a week-long trip to many places in Dien Bien to make a film about teacher Nguyen Thi Ha, journalist Lan Huong of the Department of Science and Education Programs revealed that she will tell Ms. Ha's story as an extraordinary teacher. Ha lives in the city, but she is not afraid to go to remote areas, bringing her love and sharing with underprivileged students. "Although it is a small gift, it means a lot to the children," reporter Lan Huong told VTV News.

"This year, we focused on the bright colors, the contributions of teachers in all regions and especially at many different levels of education. For example, at the university level, there are teachers who give up invitations from many prestigious foreign universities to return to Vietnam. In addition, there are stories about teachers who have learning solutions or psychological methods to resolve conflicts and take action in a smooth and effective way," said journalist Trinh Quoc Dong, deputy director of the Department of Science and Education.

Journalist Nguyen Phuong, Department of Science and Education shared, "In previous years, the characters chosen for "Instead of Gratitude" used to be those who faced difficult situation in education that they had to overcome. This year, our team brainstormed ideas and came up with telling positive stories as encouragement for teachers across the country to be more confident in the cause of education."

EACH COLOR IS AN INCREDIBLE BUT POWERFUL STORY

The production team of Instead of Gratitude in 2022 went to Yen Bai, Dien Bien, Vinh Long to select outstanding examples representing teachers in the country. In which, teacher Ha's tireless heart and feet, a story about a one-meter-tall teacher teaching special students, or the journey of convincing students to go to school at Vinh Xuan School, Vinh Long province, promise to convey energy to viewers.

"We try to choose many regions to create diversity. In the northern mountainous region, we have stories of teachers who changed their teaching and learning methods under extremely difficult conditions to create something new. Also, the story in Dien Bien has a teacher with more than 20 adopted children. She is not only teaching knowledge, but also took care of the children and helped them a lot, which is something very precious and special," journalist Trinh Quoc Dong said.

The first person mentioned in the program is teacher Nguyen Thi Ha, Phan Dinh Giot Secondary School - Dien Bien Phu City - Dien Bien Province. 70% of the school's students are ethnic minorities from remote areas of the province, such as: Tua Chua, Muong Nhe, Nam Po, Dien Bien Dong, Muong Cha. Most of the children are in difficult circumstances, children from poor families, orphans Although living in the city, Ms. Ha does not mind going to the most remote places in Dien Bien, not only to take the children to school, but also to help them achieve their dreams of a better future. Currently, she has supported and helped more than 20 children in all parts of Dien Bien province.

Instead of gratitude, 2022 will tell the story of teacher Bui Le Xuan Trang - Vinh Xuan High School, Vinh Long province, who is considered by her students as a kind mother, for always listening and caring for the students. She has become an encouragement for them to study and participate in school activities. Her love inspired a very special student and changed the prejudices and views of the classmates about their friend. The program also tells the story of a five-foot-tall teacher who loves students, or that of a professor and researcher who gave up a good opportunity abroad to return to his homeland to devote himself to the cause of human cultivation.

Teachers from different schools across the country will come together at Instead of Gratitude Show 2022 to share their inspiring stories with audiences across the country. The program also features unique cultural performances that exalt the teacher-student relationship and the nobleness of the teaching profession.
