The event was jointly organised by the Hanoi Employment Service Centre and the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities on Vietnam Day of People with Disabilities (April 18).
Thirty-two enterprises participated in the event, with 11 enterprises recruiting people with disabilities.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Tay Nam, said that Hanoi created jobs for 45,602 workers in the first three months of this year, reaching 28.1% of the year’s plan and increasing by 2.3% over the same period in 2023.
Hanoi currently has 112,171 people with disabilities, including 7,704 people with disabilities able to work. Therefore, the generation of jobs for people with disabilities is of profound humane significance, which also recognises the role of people with disabilities in society.
Some fields have recruitment needs for people with disabilities, including business - marketing, garments, handicrafts and fine arts, and the electronics industry.
