Nearly 300 mobile medical stations in HCMC deployed

The combined military-civilian medical model is an important solution for fostering grassroots medical services. Each mobile medical station will be equipped with specialized and modern equipment and fully stocked with medication for treating F0 with no symptoms or mild symptoms. Each mobile medical station will have 3 military medics and 2 local volunteers.

The mobile health station model will not only ensure access to medical care for people but is also an important measure in the strategy of treating F0s in the community. Ho Chi Minh City is determined to deploy 400 mobile medical stations as quickly as possible.

Adequate medical oxygen for covid-19 patients ensured

The Ministry of Health has asked localities to establish medical oxygen coordination departments as soon as possible to ensure the emergency care and treatment of COVID-19 patients.

The medical oxygen coordination department will review and make recommendations on building or upgrading facilities, and purchasing medical oxygen system equipment according to the respective situations of localities. At the same time, it will connect hospitals and Covid-19 treatment facilities with manufacturers and suppliers.

From there, the department will sign contracts to provide facilities with a supply of medical oxygen. The Ministry of Health has just issued a written request to provinces and cities to continue mobilizing health workers to support Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Binh Duong, Long An, and Dong Nai.
