National Assembly votes for high-ranking positions

Those positions included the State Vice President, Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy.

Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, member of the Party Central Committee, who was Vice President for the 2011–2016 tenure, and has been acting in the position since April 2016, was re-elected to this post for the 2016–2021 tenure with nearly 97% of votes in favour. Meanwhile, Nguyen Hoa Binh was voted in as Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court for the 2016–2021 tenure. He has been serving in this position since April this year. The position for the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy goes to Le Minh Tri, who is a member of the Party Central Committee and was also voted to the position last April.
