NA Chairwoman meets Lao top leader

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made this statement at a meeting with Lao Party General Secretary and President Bounnhang Vorachith in Vientiane on Sunday.

Regarding the construction of the Lao National Assembly House, a gift from Vietnam to Laos, chairwoman Ngan said that Vietnamese legislature will closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Government and the Lao side to ensure the progress and quality of the project.

For his part, the Lao top leader lauded the freshly-concluded symposium co-held by the National Assemblies of the two countries. The host noted his wish that the two legislatures will further their close cooperation and seek new forms of collaboration.
