NA Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visits Lao Vientiane Province
VTV.vn - Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and her entourage paid a working visit to Vientiane Province on September 28, as part of her ongoing visit to the neighbouring country.

According to Nhan Dan Newspaper correspondents in Laos, at the headquarters of Vientiane Province, NA Chairwoman Ngan met with Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Vientiane Province, Khamphan Sitthidumpha. The guest expressed her pleasure to visit Vientiane - a province with rich revolutionary traditions and an important strategic position connecting Vientiane capital with the northern and central provinces of Laos.

Returning to Vientiane Province after 13 years, NA Chairwoman Ngan expressed her delight at the important achievements in all fields that the Party, government and people in the province have achieved over the past years. She also praised the results of cooperation between Vientiane Province and Vietnam's localities, especially in the areas of human resource training, education and production cooperation.

The Vietnamese top legislator affirmed that Vietnamese localities are ready to cooperate with the localities of Laos, including Vientiane Province, proposing that Vientiane Province continue to expand and improve the effectiveness of cooperation with Hai Phong City, as well as Hai Duong, Yen Bai and Nghe An Provinces and other provinces and cities of Vietnam, especially in education - training, human resource development, production of goods for export and promoting startup programmes in each village that bear the identity of Vientiane Province, thus helping to diversify commodity products.

NA Chairwoman Ngan expressed her belief that with the leadership of Governor Sitthidumpha, Vientiane Province would continue to develop sustainably and the people's lives would be improved significantly. On the occasion, through Governor Sitthidumpha, the Vietnamese NA chairwoman sent her greetings to former leaders of Vientiane Province.

Welcoming NA Chairwoman Ngan and her delegates to Vientiane, Sitthidumpha informed the guests on key features of the province's socio-economic situation. The leaders of Vientiane Province thanked the Party and State of Vietnam for Laos and the province as well, affirming that the assistance and cooperation between the two countries and their localities would deepen the Laos-Vietnam good relationship.

On the same day, NA Chairwoman Ngan and her delegation offered incense and laid wreaths at the Laos-Vietnam Combative Alliance monument in Keun village of Thoulakhom district of Vientiane, about 70 km north of the capital city of Vientiane.
